Road registration and licence

Age limits, skill level and road licence

  • Due to increasing administrative complexity, VERi will no longer be organising VicRoads Unregistered Vehicle Permits (UVPs) to entrants at our events where registered motorbikes are required. This includes the annual Harrow Vinduro.
  • We will no longer accept UVPs purchased online from the VicRoads website.
  • Trade plates are not accepted.

  • Most of our events require a valid in Victoria road registered motorcycle (either Classic, recreation or full)
  • Most of our events the rider/entrant must have a current road licence
  • Some events will allow unlicensed riders of which must be 16 years or older
  • This will only be available on a private property that has been designated by the VERi committee on the entry form
  • Novice riders must be chaperoned by a competent rider till deemed competent
  • The chaperone must be a current VERi member who holds a suitable level of experience as deemed by the committee. The chaperone and novice are to wear safety vests and start at the rear of the field (safety vest supplied by VERi club)
  • There will be a question on the entry form as to skill levels. Expert, clubman or Novice.
  • Subject to the same event registration process

Non-registered bikes

  • Only to be used on private property that has been designated by the VERi committee on the entry form.
This may include some Saturday Tracks
  • The bike is to meet VERi age rules and regulations
  • The bike is to be subject to scrutineering, including headlight, and tail light. The lights will not be required to operate.
  • The muffler is to comply with club noise restrictions
